Powering a Resilient Future: A Transatlantic Partnership

  • Midtown Manhattan (map)

Join us on September 23rd during New York Climate Week 2026 for a special showcase of Estonia's leading climatetech innovators. Hosted by H.E. Mr. Hannes Hanso, Ambassador of Estonia to the United States of America, this exclusive event will be opened by the President of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Alar Karis, highlighting Estonia's commitment to global climate solutions and sustainable innovation.

A panel discussion, Powering the AI Boom without Breaking the Grid, features participants from Estonia and the US, including:

  • Fernando Gómez-Baquero, Director of Runway and Spinouts, Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute and Director of Translation and Entrepreneurship, NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate New York

  • Taavi Madiberk, CEO of Skeleton Technologies

  • Georg Rute, CEO of GridRaven

  • Additional Speaker to be announced

  • Moderator: Hayden Baker, Partner, White & Case LLP

AI is driving electricity demand faster than the US grid can expand. This panel brings together the people building the fix — from supercapacitor storage and grid-capacity software to battery commercialization — for a candid conversation on whether the grid can keep pace.

The panel is followed by short pitches from selected Estonian climatetech companies that are shaping our sustainable future. The event will conclude with a networking reception, offering opportunities to connect with founders, policymakers, and climate leaders.
