Transatlantic Innovation: ClimateTech Solutions for a Resilient Future

On September 24th, 2025 the event Transatlantic Innovation: ClimateTech Solutions for a Resilient Future took place in New York.

The program was opened by the President of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Alar Karis, who emphasized Estonia’s commitment to global climate solutions and sustainable innovation.

A highlight of the event was the panel discussion, From Tallinn to Tribeca: Scaling Sustainable Innovations in the US, featuring experts from Estonia and the United States:

  • Sonam Velani, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Streetlife Ventures

  • Kädi Ristkok, CEO, Cleantech Estonia

  • Zeid Harb, Co-Founder and CEO, Carbon Clear

  • Nicole Spina, VP of Climate Innovation, NYCEDC

  • Moderator: Max Harrison, Investor, Remarkable Ventures & Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator

As global cities race to decarbonize the built environment, cross-border collaboration is key to accelerating innovation. This thought-provoking discussion explored how Estonian climatetech startups are pioneering sustainable technologies — and what it takes to build successful collaborations in complex urban markets like New York City.

The panel was followed by pitches from selected Estonian climatetech companies shaping tomorrow’s sustainable cities. The event concluded with a networking reception, creating opportunities to connect with founders, policymakers, and climate leaders.
