Estonia’s ClimateTech Innovators Take Center Stage in New York City

On September 23, 2026, during New York Climate Week, Estonia showcased its leading climate technology innovators at a special event hosted by H.E. Mr. Hannes Hanso, Ambassador of Estonia to the United States.

The event was opened by the President of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Alar Karis, highlighting Estonia’s commitment to advancing innovative and sustainable solutions to global climate challenges.

The featured panel discussion, “Powering the AI Boom without Breaking the Grid,” brought together leading experts from Estonia and the United States to explore how rapidly growing AI-driven electricity demand can be met while building a more resilient and sustainable energy system.

The discussion featured Fernando Gómez-Baquero, Taavi Madiberk, CEO of Skeleton Technologies, Georg Rute, CEO of GridRaven, and Felipe Jaramillo, VP of Energy Infrastructure at Macquarie Group, and was moderated by Hayden Baker, Partner at White & Case LLP.

The panel was followed by presentations from selected Estonian ClimateTech companies developing innovative solutions for energy, infrastructure, and a more sustainable future.

The event concluded with a networking reception, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and climate leaders from Estonia and the United States to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration.
