BACC Member Participation at the 21st Annual EU–UN Procurement Seminar in New York

On April 28–29, 2026, New York City hosted the 21st Annual EU–UN Procurement Seminar, organized by the European Procurement Forum (EUPF). The seminar is a leading platform designed to connect European companies and international stakeholders with United Nations procurement systems, offering practical insights into accessing opportunities within the UN marketplace.

The program brought together representatives from UN agencies, procurement officers, and European businesses to discuss procurement procedures, upcoming tender opportunities, and sector-specific priorities for 2026. Key thematic areas included aviation, logistics, ICT, renewable energy, accommodation solutions, and security services, reflecting the broad scope of UN procurement needs.

Participants benefited from expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and structured networking opportunities aimed at strengthening engagement between EU-based companies and UN institutions. A key highlight of the seminar was the opportunity for selected companies to engage in one-on-one meetings with UN procurement officials, providing direct access to decision-makers and tailored guidance on vendor readiness and registration processes.

The Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) was proud to support participation in this important international forum. Notably, BACC was the only chamber of commerce exclusively invited to participate, underscoring its strong positioning and trusted role within the transatlantic business ecosystem.

We were pleased to grant accreditation to attend the seminar to our member, Jaana Otero of Meeting Consulting Inc.

Jaana’s professional focus is on helping international companies transform North American meetings and trade shows from cost centers into strategic investments—protecting budgets, eliminating hidden fees, and removing operational inefficiencies so leadership teams can focus on business outcomes. Her approach strongly resonates with BACC’s mission to promote practical, results-driven transatlantic business engagement and to support members in building meaningful, value-generating international partnerships.

Events such as the EUPF Seminar continue to play a vital role in expanding awareness of global procurement mechanisms and fostering connections between European enterprises and international organizations. BACC remains committed to supporting its members in accessing high-level platforms that advance business development, operational excellence, and international cooperation.
