Connecting the Baltic and Global Business Community at NYC Trade Forum
On May 20, 2026, the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) partnered with the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce for an engaging international networking and trade event held at the historic General Society Library, the second-oldest library in New York City.
The event brought together diplomats, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across industries to foster new connections and strengthen international business relationships within the Baltic, transatlantic, and broader global business community.
The program featured an Opening Reception, followed by the Trade Forum discussion, “How to Grow Global Trade & Investment Through Diplomacy,” with participation from Brazilian, Finnish, Indian, Nepalese, Mexican, and Pakistani General Counsels of New York.
Guests also attended the International Trading Partner Awards honoring:
Brian Teubner of Empire State Development’s Global NY Team
Dr. Dana York, Scientist and International AI Leader
Captain Jonathan Andrechik, NY Commander, US Coast Guard
Farrukh Ahsan, Asian American Pacific Island Entrepreneur
James Kim, Korean American Chamber of the Northeast
The evening continued with the presentation of the 2026 Lucio Caputo Statesman Award to Angelo Vivolo, presented by Marian Pardo. Former honorees include Dr. Joseph Scelsa, Arthur Aidala, and Tony Danza.
The event concluded with a networking reception catered by Turkuaz Restaurant and Breads Bakery, offering attendees additional opportunities to continue conversations and build new international business relationships.
Through strategic partnerships and participation in high-level international business forums, BACC continues to create direct access for its members to influential business, diplomatic, and institutional networks that would otherwise be difficult to reach independently. These collaborations help amplify the visibility of Baltic and transatlantic businesses in New York, open doors to new cross-border relationships, and position BACC members within broader global trade and investment conversations.
